Hubbard Street Dance Chicago returns to the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center (DPAC) for the first time since 2008. Experience a remarkable exhibition of artistry as Hubbard Street Dance Chicago connects jazz heritage to the current day. Highlights include ATLAS by Chanel DaSilva, a May 2026 world premiere, which accentuates her signature athletic storytelling. The repertoire also soars with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater Associate Artistic Director Matthew Rushing's Beauty Chasers, an exploration of the pursuit to create. At the same time, Bob Fosse's Percussion IV is a delightful example of the Chicago-born Broadway icon's style. It honors the ongoing historic partnership between Hubbard Street and the Verdon Fosse® Legacy. Completing the evening is Aszure Barton's Blue Soup, celebrated for its quirky, collaborative spirit and intricate physicality.
"The company, under the leadership of artistic director Linda-Denise Fisher-Harrell, seems to be evolving toward a commitment to the legacy and the here-and-now of Chicago and American dance." —Chicago Reader
